Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is coming to Netflix later this Fall, and the series has released its flashy opening theme sequence to get fans hyped for its big debut! Although Cyberpunk 's original video game launch seemed to have a divisive response among fans, it's hard to argue about the promise the world introduced within the game actually has as a setting. Seemingly picking up on this was CD Projekt Red themselves as they teamed up with Studio Trigger which is currently celebrating its 10th Anniversary for a brand new anime take on their Cyberpunk world coming to Netflix in the next few months.
As part of Studio Trigger's special 10th Anniversary plans for Anime Expo this year, the studio debuted the very first episode of the series for fans in attendance. Not only was response to this debut positive, but now fans everywhere can see a little of it for themselves as Netflix has officially released the opening sequence for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. Featuring "This Fffire" from Franz Ferdinand, you can check out the opening for Cyberpunk 's anime debut below:.
Silent Hill's Akira Yamaoka will be composing the music too. As for what to expect from the series' story itself, Netflix officially describes Cyberpunk: Edgerunners as such , "The series tells a standalone, episode story about a street kid trying to survive in Night City — a technology and body modification-obsessed city of the future. Having everything to lose, he stays alive by becoming an edgerunner — a mercenary outlaw also known as a cyberpunk. What do you think?

Nice self-cock block there, Kamina, though Yoko manages to squeeze in some time with him anyway while Simon looks on dejectedly. This is another one of those moments where you realize exactly how fun this series is. The fight commences and obviously, Kamina will not run despite being out of bullets. Viral seems to have the upper hand but Kamina manages to land a solid hit of his own. We will obviously not bother with the question of how distances and physics work in this universe.

New character in this episode!! Unfortunately, he on the picture is one of the enemies. He was in the opening song and looked evil, so I knew when he appeared, he was one of the enemies. I watched many anime and typical and unique enemies like Viral that appear early in the series have two different fates. One is he would die in an episode or two by fighting with Simon, Kamina, Yoko, and the others or could end up being a rival and fights him again at the end of the series. I believe the latter.
