Debbie Dupree's biological clock has gone off, and she screams that she must have a baby. The men figure this out with the help of Debbie Love, but are dismayed to find out that Stormy thinks of Debbie Love as "Black Debbie". Debbie Dupree decides that since she doesn't have much time to have a baby, one of the men of Sealab has to father her baby. She decides to hold auditions. At said auditions, Murphy mistakenly thinks she planned to adopt one of them, Stormy's audition tape is interrupted by Hesh demanding sex, and Sparks just trolls her by discussing A Modest Proposal , namely that it's about 'eating babies'.

20 Best Archer Episodes Of All Time

Underneath the sealab Underneath the water Sealab At the bottom of the sea Sealab is a minute long Adult Swim original show which parodies the s animated series Sealab and, to a lesser extent, the entire genre of crudely-animated '60s and '70s cartoons produced by Hanna-Barbera. The show lasted from November to April , for a total of 52 episodes in four seasons. Set Twenty Minutes Into the Future , the series recasts the crew of the titular undersea colony as a group of extremely unstable individuals, all of whom are too crazy or Too Dumb to Live.

"Sealab " (Cartoon Network, ) able to so inventively turn TV tropes inside out and make almost every episode of "Community".

Of all the things the internet introduced me to, Adult Swim is probably the most influential of them. I grew up watching Cartoon Network shows, so it was easy to enjoy a lot of what Adult Swim had to offer, whether it was Robot Chicken or Sealab Here, you can see what I consider to be the very best Adult Swim shows!

If you want to binge something without putting a dent in your busy Summer plans, Frisky Dingo , now streaming on Hulu, might be just the ticket for you. Unlike Sealab , Frisky Dingo was a completely original creation that viciously poked fun at action hero and supervillain tropes. Also, unlike Sealab , the show was serial in nature with each episode running approximately 11 minutes, effectively creating a viewing experience akin to a feature length movie for each season. Killface is.

Murphy has taken out a huge loan with Sealab as collateral to make an ad campaign promoting Sealab as a cool spot for a vacation, and now the only way to keep Sealab from being foreclosed on is to go through with entertaining tourists. It's pretty obvious, though, that the Sealab crew members don't really give a damn about impressing the tourists.

I have distinctly mixed feelings about the Adult Swim -ization of TV comedy. Over the top is where it starts, and it is unshakable in its conviction that excess — of sex, of bloodshed, of fluids and secretions of all kinds — is inherently funny. Sealab was scattershot by design, repurposing old Hanna-Barbera animation into blackout sketches, but it too often faltered into unfunny non-sequiturs. The more plot-driven Frisky Dingo deployed its absurdity with a bit more care, and boasted a sleek, appealing visual style, but it too bogged down into wheel-spinning longueurs. In Hollywood-speak, the show can be summed up as Mission: Impossible meets The Office — a character-based workplace comedy set in the plot-based world of espionage. Ostensible leading man Sterling Archer is a perpetually drunken, emotionally stunted, endlessly self-regarding, bottomlessly irresponsible playboy who also happens to be the top field agent for a freelance international intelligence service. Archer splits his time between death-defying spy missions and managing his messy personal relationships with his co-workers — femme fatale and ex-girlfriend Lana Kane; her most recent ex, nerdy comptroller Cyril Figgis; gossipy HR director Pam Poovey; dizzy secretary Carol or is it Cheryl?

This year, I am breaking it into sections. Most of these were skimmed; few were watched in their entiretly. It was the most artistically animated show we watched all year. It was also, uncoincidentally, the only anime we watched this year.
