Every Decade has a Trio!

1920s: The Three Stooges featuring (Moe, Larry, Curly) This slapstick comedy trio started small in 1922 and proceeded to go mainstream in the years to come.

1930s: Snap, Crackle and Pop from the Rice Krispies, these characters first appeared in radio jingles in 1932, and had official designs in 1933.

1940s: Mickey, Goofy, and Donald. While these three individually were created in years prior, we didn’t see them as an official trio until the 1947 animated feature: Walt Disney's “Fun and Fancy Free.”

1950s: Alvin and the Chipmunks (Alvin, Simon, Theodore) they were first created in 1958.

1960s: Josie and the Pussycats, which wasn’t an animated series until the 70s, but was an Archie comic series in the 60s.

1970s: Sabrina, Jill and Kelly - Charlies Angels. This series first aired in 1976

1980s: The Original Ghost Busters Trio, of Peter, Ray, and Egon (Eee- Gin)

1990s: The Animaniacs which came out in 1993.

2000s: Ed, Edd n Eddy or the Power Puff Girls. Both came out in the late 90s, but dominated the early 2000s decade.

2010s: The We Bare Bears trio which first came out in 2015.

2020s: Triple Skibidi Toilet from the Skibidi Toilet Series which gained popularity in 2023.
